Information about the handling of
upcoming events at pelazzio

Pelazzio and it’s dedicated team is committed to serving and hosting all of our clients and their celebrations, as we have for over 20 years. To continue doing so, we are following the orders put in place by the City of Houston and continue to abide by them to do our part in protecting you, your guests & our staff.

Though our business office is temporarily closed, Pelazzio’s Team members are working remotely to make sure all of your questions about booking and concerns about upcoming events are answered. We are currently reserving dates for 2021 – 2022 and our team is looking forward to returning to normal operations as soon as possible. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

 


Already Reserved Your Event at Pelazzio?

Some of Pelazzio’s Terms & Conditions have been adjusted due to the current pandemic and, as a result, our clients options have been extended. Your options vary a bit, depending on the date you’ve reserved and other factors.

The menu below shows your 3 different options. Click each option to find more details. Postponement or cancellation of an event booked with Pelazzio is a client decision.

As a small-local business, Pelazzio stands ready, willing and able to deliver all events after April 30th, 2020. If you are not interested in moving your celebration, and do not fall within the mandatory social distancing period, we would be happy to keep your current date as planned. Pelazzio is taking extra preventative measures and has put plans in place to ensure the safety of you, your clients & guests. In order to stay in accordance with the Governors orders, the following precautionary steps are a brief overview of the guidelines that will be put in place during your event:

  • All Guests must be wearing a face mask, unless eating or drinking
  • All groups arriving together please remain at least 6 feet apart from other groups.
  • No tables of more than 6 people During Receptions.
  • During Ceremonies, keep at least 2 empty seats (or six feet separation) between parties in any row and alternate Rows between attendees. (We have removed them for convenience).
  • Follow Capacity Restrictions: Current Orders allow Pelazzio to host events at a 50% Capacity Limit. Find the guest capacity for your ballroom in the chart below:

Please note that guest(s) of honor, event manager (1), event staff (approx. 4-8) are also to be included in count above.

If you are concerned about having your event due to the current pandemic but still want to host your celebration at Pelazzio, you have the option to postpone. There are a few ways that this can be handled, depending on the date of your event and whether or not you have event insurance.

Clients with Event Insurance: If you have Event Cancellation or Postponement Insurance [recommended at the time of signing your contract with Pelazzio] and have decided to delay your wedding or special event, the easiest option for you could be to simply cancel and file a claim. If you choose to do so, you may start the re-booking process whenever you want with no restrictions on days and times, except availability. If you’re unclear about the extent of your coverage, we encourage you to talk with your insurance provider.

Clients without Event Insurance: To reschedule with Pelazzio, your account cannot have any outstanding balances, and will also incur a 35% Rescheduling Fee that can be made into payment arrangements. If you choose to postpone your celebration, new dates will be offered to you depending upon Pelazzio's availability and a revised contract will be prepared. 

Pelazzio’s Rescheduling Fee will be WAIVED for any events that fall under the mandatory social distancing orders issued by the City of Houston (applicable for any events booked before May 1st). If you fall within this mandatory orders and have chosen to postpone, new 2020 dates will be offered to you, depending on our availability.

Have you already chosen to postpone? Your new event date will be offered to you before July 1, 2020. Details about postponing were sent out to via email. We look forward to helping you secure your new date to plan around!

We are saddened that you may have to make the decision to cancel your event with us, but ultimately respect whatever choice you decide to make. Cancellation of your event will remove your reservation from our calendar and relieve you of any outstanding payments on your contract. There are different ways this can be handled, depending on whether or not you have event insurance, so please read more details below. Regardless of which way your cancellation is handled, we hope to see you back at Pelazzio for any future celebrations you may be planning!

Clients with Event Insurance: If you have Event Cancellation or Postponement Insurance [recommended at the time of signing your contract with Pelazzio] and have decided to cancel your wedding or special event, the best option for you would be to simply cancel your event with us and file a claim to try and recollect some of your funds. If you’re unclear about the extent of your coverage, we encourage you to talk with your insurance provider.

Clients without Event Insurance :

Normal Cancellation: Cancelling your event will relieve you of any outstanding balances left on your current event contract with Pealzzio. As stated in Pelazzio's terms & Conditions, we do not issue any refunds for cancelled events (See Terms & Conditions, Page 1 - Payments Section). 

Partial Refund: (Option Expired 5-20-20) Be we understand that the current pandemic has impacted our clients in multiple ways, we have opened up the option for a partial refund for our uninsured clients. Your refund amount will be calculated and offered to you after reviewing any outstanding balances, and booking/reservation fees for the venue & vendors have been determined.

 

If you would to proceed with the cancellation of your event, please email management@pelazzio.com with your request and a refund offer will be emailed to you within 5 days, where you will have 3 days to accept your refund.

Again, all Cancellations or Postponements decisions are left to be made by the client. Decisions to Cancel or Postpone your event must be made and sent via email to management@pelazzio.com NO LESS THAN 14 DAYS BEFORE EVENT.

We know the decisions you’re being forced to make are extremely difficult. We feel for you, and we want to alleviate your stress as much as possible. We will continue to monitor the evolving situation closely and update our venue protocols and client options accordingly. 

We are following guidance from the CDC, Texas Governor and Houston City Officials. In addition to our standard cleaning procedures, Pelazzio will also be extending additional labor hours into our ballrooms to allow for more frequent and deeper cleaning & sanitation between events. We will be enforcing new food/drink serving protocols, and have also created a policy requiring all team members and staff to stay home if they’re feeling ill or having symptoms. In short, we will be doing everything possible to keep our clients & their guests safe, and our facility clean.

As we prepare to return, we ask for you and your guests help us in doing what we can to slow the spread of COVID-19. Please share the following tips with your friends & family members:

  • If you are sick, please do not attend an event.
  • Practice social distancing, stay at home if you can
  • Maintain at least 6 feet from other individuals not within the same household
  • Wear a mask
  • Wash hands often for 20 seconds, or use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol upon entering a business and after any interaction with other guests, employees , or items in the facility
  • Practice cough and sneeze etiquette (Cover mouth/nose when coughing/sneezing. Ideally use a tissue and throw it away. If a tissue is not available, use the elbow of a sleeve).
  • Avoid Touching your face with unwashed hands
  • Disinfect frequently touched objects
  • Do not share food, drinks or eating utensils with others
  • Stay away from people who are sick.
  • Know the signs and symptoms of respiratory viruses.
  • Contact your healthcare provider within 48 hours if illness develops.
  • And above all, let’s try not to be overcome by fear.
